Welcome to the 52nd Season of Park Ridge Football & Cheer

2019 REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO A RECORD NUMBER OF  PARTICIPANTS, WE WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY REGISTRATION REQUESTS AFTER NOON ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 16th. ALL REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, BUT WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU NEXT YEAR.


2019 Programs

Program Grade (Fall  2019) Description
Spirit Cheer Summer Camp  K - 6th
  • 5 day cheerleading camp teaching fundamental dance, jump and cheer skills
  • Camp will be held Mon, July 15 through Fri, July 19, 2019 from 9:00am-12:00pm at St. Andrews Lutheran Church gymnasium
Spirit Cheer Fall Season K - 6th
  • Overview - Recreational cheer program which cheers on the sidelines for Park Ridge Flag or Tackle football games
  • Practice Schedule - 1 outdoor practice (1 hour) per week
  • Game Schedule - 8 games (usually 1 hour) played on Friday nights, Saturdays, or Sundays beginning the first weekend after Labor Day and ending the last week of October
Competitive Cheer Fall Season 2nd - 8th
  • Overview - Competitive cheer program offering both sideline and competitive cheerleading experiences including: stunting, tumbling, jumping, and high-energy dances
  • Practice Schedule - 2 indoor practices per week (1.5hrs to 3hrs per practice)
  • Game Schedule - 4 games (usually 1.5hrs) played on Saturday mornings or afternoons at Maine South High School
  • Competition - 4 to 5 local competitions against other suburban Cheer Programs with a chance to participate in the IRCA’s State Championship Tournament
Flag Football Pre-K  - 8th
  • Overview - Non-contact 7 on 7 flag football with no weight restrictions
  • Practice Schedule - 1-2 hours per week beginning the week of August 19th or August 26th
  • Game Schedule  - 8 one hour games played in Park Ridge either Friday nights, or Saturdays beginning the first weekend after Labor Day and ending by the end of October
  • Competition - Predominately play against other Park Ridge teams with some Home games against teams from nearby communities
  • Player Participation - All players will play a variety of offensive/defensive positions and should play at least half of every game
Falcons Division 2 Tackle Football 3rd - 8th
  • Overview - Competitive tackle football program that is focused on ensuring all athletes play football, regardless of their ability, with their friends in a fun and encouraging environment - formally known as the Park Ridge House League
  • Practice Schedule - Up to 3 practices (2 hours max) per week starting in mid-August
  • Game Schedule  - 8 games played on Friday nights, Saturdays, or Sundays beginning the first weekend after Labor Day and ending the last week of October
  • Competition - Play against other Park Ridge teams or teams from nearby communities
  • Player Participation - All players must rotate at least every two plays on defense
Falcons Division 1 Tackle Football 5th - 8th
  • Overview - Highly competitive tackle football program playing against some of the best regional competition in the state
  • Practice Schedule - Start last week of July and may be 4-5 days week until school starts. During school - 3 practices week (6 hours) with 1 additional film /walk-thru practice
  • Game Schedule  - 9 to 12 games played on Saturdays or Sundays starting in early September and ending in late November
  • Competition - Part of the United Youth Football League - http://www.unitedyfl.com
  • Player Participation - Minimum playing time guaranteed (8-10 plays per game)
