Welcome to Park Ridge Cheerleading
Our philosophy is to give all children, regardless of their ability, the opportunity to participate in youth cheerleading. We also strive to provide a program were boys and girls can safely learn the values of teamwork, team spirit, and sportsmanship in a positive and nourishing environment.
We recognize the need for both a game day and a competition cheer program. As a result, we are pleased to offer the following cheerleading programs.
Cheerleading Program Structure
The Park Ridge Cheerleading program is for girls from Kindergarten (5 years old) to 8th grade (14 years old). With a spot for any degree of ability, we offer cheer squads at the various levels and programs described in the table below, and squads are divided amongst grade level with some grades being combined. The team composition changes from year to year depending on enrollment.

The Park Ridge Spirit cheerleaders excite the fans at our House Football games. Spirit cheerleaders will learn fundamental cheers and chants, as well as developing the skills to perform exciting halftime routines which will support their team and energize their fans from kick off to final whistle. If you have team spirit, high energy, enthusiasm, and want to have fun then our Spirit Cheer program is for you.
The Spirit Cheer program is designed to provide a positive and nourishing environment that focuses on teamwork, building self-confidence, and having fun!
The Park Ridge Competitive Cheer program offers both sideline and competitive cheerleading. Cheer squads will rally the crowd from the sidelines at Park Ridge Falcons home games with traditional cheers and chants as well as performing upbeat halftime routines. The competitive cheer squads will learn stunting, tumbling, jumps, and high-energy dances to compete at three local competitions as well as a chance to compete at the IRCA State Championship. Competitive Cheer squads will be established based on registration participation numbers and evaluations. Skill evaluations are optional for advanced 6th through 8th girls, and all participants will be placed on a squad should participation numbers allow.
This program is designed to provide a positive environment that focuses on teaching our athletes the value of commitment, hard work, integrity, leadership, self-confidence, and a positive attitude to develop a love for the sport of cheerleading.
Although the level of commitment and completion may be higher depending on level, we want everyone to have fun!
